1) Trim Back Liriope

2) Trim Your Roses on Valentines Day

February 14th is a great time, and easy way to remember when to prune back your roses bushes to about half in size. Climbing roses should be trimmed by removing any diseased, injured, or spindly branches, cutting them away flush with the branch they grew from. If any of the older, woody canes have failed to bloom well during the previous season, prune them off too and remove any crossing or awkwardly placed branches. Step back frequently to assess the shape of the plant.

3) Prune Oak Trees Before February 15th or After May 15th
