One of our favorite things to include in both pots and bed designs are caladiums. These colorful bulbs have big, heart-shaped leaves with amazing color combinations of white, pink, red and green and add visual interest with not only their color, but also their height which is great for creating layered looks.

Caladiums love hot and humid weather so are perfect for our hot and steam Dallas area summers. They tend to grow best in full to partial shade though most varieties can also do well in full sun with plenty of water.
